Add an Involved or Associated party

Involved and Associated Parties is the first section displayed on the Parties screen. Involved parties are the parties directly involved in the loss, such as the owner of an involved vehicle, the driver or passenger of an involved vehicle, the owner of damaged property, and pedestrians. Associated parties are non-involved parties that are associated with involved parties, such as spouse, child, parent/guardian, attorney, agent, and other service providers.

At any point in the claim lifecycle, you can add involved or associated parties by completing the Add Party dialog box. BriteCore will then add those parties in the Involved and Associated Parties section.

You can also add involved and associated parties on the Parties screen.

Note: For Personal Auto the only involved party you can add on the Parties screen is a pedestrian. All other involved parties must be added to the Vehicle or Damaged Properties screens.

Parties screen configurations

The Parties screen displays the Involved parties section, the Associated parties sub-section, and the Vendor/Other section. The following pieces are configurable for each section:

  • The roles added to Involved parties, Associated parties, and Vendor/Other.
  • Determining if the role is related to the Claim, the Party, or the Risk.
  • Determining if the screen will default to the Add Party form or the Search form.
  • Determining if the Add Party form will default to the Individual form, the Organization form, or both.

To add an involved party on the Parties screen:

  1. Access the claim you are adding the party to.
  2. Navigate to and select the Parties tab.
