Add underwriting questions to an effective date

In classic Lines, you can add Yes/No underwriting questions to an effective date.

Note: Adding an underwriting question to an effective date applies it to all of the policy types with that effective date.

You can also add underwriting questions to a specific policy type.

  1. In the BriteCore menu, select Lines.
  2. On the Effective Dates screen, select the applicable effective date.
  3. In the Policy Types menu, select Underwriting, and then select Questions.
  4. On the Questions screen, below (Y/N Questions Only), complete the following steps:
    1. Select the Add Question icon .
    2. In the Question box, type a Yes/No question.
    3. In the Explain dropdown list, select one of the following options:
      1. If an explanation is required when the answer is yes, select If Yes.
      2. If an explanation is required when the answer is no, select If No.
      3. If no explanation is required, select None.
    4. In the Disallow Application dropdown list, select one of the following options:
      1. If the application should be disallowed when the answer is yes, select If Yes.
      2. If the application should be disallowed when the answer is no, select If No.
      3. If the answer shouldn’t disallow the application, select None.

Note: Repeat step 4 for each underwriting question you want to add.
