Add a credit card payment

In the Payments tab, you can add and manage credit cards for a contact under the Financial Accounts section.

To add a credit card payment method, open the Payments tab of the desired contact and:

  1. Select the green + Add a Payment Method.
  2. In the Payment Method dialog box, select the Credit Card radio button.
  3. In the Description box, type a description of the payment method you are adding, such as Alex’s Chase Visa.
  4. In the Type dropdown list, select the type of credit card from the list. This is a required field.
  5. In the Name box, type the cardholder’s name as it appears on the credit card. This is a required field.
  6. If applicable, in the Company box, type the company name associated with the card. Type the name as it appears on the credit card.
  7. In the Card Number box, type the card number of the credit card you are adding. This is a required field.
  8. In the Expires dropdown lists, select the month and year of the card’s expiration date. This is a required field.
  9. In the Security Code box, type the card’s security code. This is a required field.
  10. Select the Billing address for card is the same as contact’s primary address. checkbox if the primary address is the same as the billing address. If you select the checkbox, BriteCore will automatically populate the remaining billing address boxes. Move to step 17 if the checkbox is selected. If you don’t select the checkbox, continue to step 11.
  11. In the Address Line 1 box, type the billing address associated with the credit card. This is a required field.
  12. If applicable, in the Address Line 2 box, type the remaining portion of the address associated with the credit card.
  13. From the Country dropdown list, select the country associated with the billing address. This is a required field.
  14. In the City dropdown list, type the city of the billing address associated with the credit card. This is a required field.
  15. From the State / Province dropdown list, select the state or province of the billing address associated with the credit card. This is a required field.
  16. In the Zip box, type the ZIP code of the billing address associated with the credit card. This is a required field.
  17. When you finish entering credit card information, select OK. The new credit card information will appear under Financial Accounts. If you select Cancel or X, BriteCore will return you to the Payments tab without saving the information you entered.
