Add lines of business to an agency

In the Configuration tab, you can add lines of business for each business location of an agency.

Prerequisite

You must first add business locations to an agency before you can add lines of business. See Add business locations.

Add lines of business to an agency

To add lines of business to an agency, open the Configuration tab of the desired agency and:

  1. From the display of business locations, select the state to which you will add lines of business. When you select a state, all lines of business that the agency is open to quoting will populate in the Open to Quoting box.
    • If the agency writes business in more than four states, the states will display in the State dropdown list.
    • If the agency writes business in four states or less, the states will display as tabs beneath the + Add another state to this agency button.
  2. In the Not Open to Quoting box, select the lines of business you want to add.
  3. Select the < Add button. The line of business will move from the Not Open to Quoting box to the Open to Quoting box.
  4. To add additional lines of business to the selected business location, repeat steps 2 and 3.
  5. When you are finished adding lines of business to the selected business location, select Save Changes.

Usage considerations

If you want to add all lines of business that populate the Not Open to Quoting box to an agency’s business location, you can select the Add All Lines of Business link. BriteCore will move all lines of business from the Not Open to Quoting box to the Open to Quoting box.

If there are several lines of business the agency’s business location quotes, and multiple lines of business populate the Not Open to Quoting box, it can be more efficient to select the Add All Lines of Business link, and then remove the few lines of business the agency won’t quote.
