Complete the New Contact dialog box for an organization

The New Contact dialog box will open if a name is entered that doesn’t already exist in BriteCore as a contact.

To complete the New Contact dialog box for an organization:

  1. In the New Contact dialog box, select Contact is an Organization.
  2. In the Contact Name box, type the name of the contact. This is a required field.
  3. In the Date Business Started box, type the business start date using the MM/DD/YYYY format.
  4. In the Risk ID Number box, type the contact’s risk ID number.
  5. In the DBA box, type the name under which the contact is conducting business.
  6. From the Legal Entity Type dropdown list, select the type of contact.
  7. In the FEIN/Tax ID box, type the contact’s FEIN/Tax ID number.
  8. In the Address boxes, type the main address associated with the contact. This is a required field.
  9. From the Type dropdown list, select the type of address.
  10. From the Country dropdown list, select the country associated with the address.
  11. In the Zip box, type the ZIP code associated with the address entered for the contact. The entered ZIP code will automatically populate the City, State / Province, and County fields.
  12. In the City dropdown list, ensure the correct city associated with the address is displayed. If the correct city isn’t displayed, select it from the dropdown list.
  13. In the State / Province dropdown list, ensure the correct state or province associated with the address is displayed. If the correct state or province isn’t displayed, select it from the dropdown list.
  14. In the County dropdown list, ensure the correct county associated with the address is displayed. If the correct county isn’t displayed, select it from the dropdown list.
  15. To add another address, select + Add Another Address. Repeat steps 8-14.
  16. In the Phone box, type the main phone number associated with the contact.
  17. From the Type dropdown list, select the type of phone number.
  18. To add another phone number, select + Add Another Phone. Repeat steps 16 and 17.
  19. In the Email box, type the main email address associated with the contact.
  20. From the Type dropdown list, select the type of email address.
  21. To add another email address, select + Add Another Email. Repeat steps 19 and 20.
  22. When you’re finished entering information, select Done.

    Note: If you select X, you will return to the Information tab without saving the information you entered.
