Claims

Contacts screen overview

The Contacts screen is the second screen you can access within a claim. To access the Contacts screen, access the desired claim, and then select Contacts from the claim menu.

Contacts screen fields

  1. Adjuster Name – In the Adjuster Name box, you can type the name of the adjuster you are assigning to the claim.
  2. + Add an Adjuster – With the + Add an Adjuster button, you can add an additional adjuster to the claim.
  3. Blue person icon – When you select the blue person icon next to any contact in the Contacts screen, BriteCore will direct you to the contact’s Information screen in the Contacts module.
  4. Supervisor Name – In the Supervisor Name box, you can type the name of the claims supervisor you are assigning to the claim.
  5. + Add a Supervisor – With the + Add a Supervisor button, you can add an additional supervisor to the claim.
  6. Named Insured(s) – The Named Insured(s) section displays the name and address of the named insured(s) named on the policy that the claim is filed on.
  7. Agent – The Agent section displays the name and address of the agent or agency named on the policy that the claim is filed on.
  8. Claimant Name – In the Claimant Name box, you can type the name of the claimant who filed the claim.
  9. + Add Another Claimant – With the + Add Another Claimant button, you can add an additional claimant to the claim if applicable.
  10. Red X – With the red X button, you can choose to remove the contact next to the red X.
  11. + Add a Contractor – With the + Add a Contractor button, you can add a contractor to the claim.
  12. Defendant Attorney Name – With the Defendant Attorney Name box, you can type the name of the defense attorney associated with the claim.
  13. Plaintiff Attorney Name – With the Plaintiff Attorney Name box, you can type the name of the plaintiff attorney associated with the claim.
  14. Police Department Name – With the Police Department Name box, you can type the name of the police department that responded to the loss event.
  15. Public Claims Adjuster Name – With the Public Claims Adjuster Name box, you can type the name of the public claims adjuster associated with the claim.
  16. Fire Department Name – With the Fire Department Name box, you can type the name of the fire department that responded to the loss event.
  17. Medical Provider Name – With the Medical Provider Name box, you can type the name of the medical provider who treated individuals for injuries from the loss event.

Contacts screen actions

Within the Contacts screen, you can add all applicable contacts associated with the claim filed. To assign adjusters, see Assign an adjuster – step 3. To assign a claims supervisor, see Assign a supervisor – step 4. To add claimants, see Add a claimant – step 5. For all other actions, use the following workflows:

  • View named insured information
  • View agent or agency information
  • Add a contractor to a claim
  • Add a defense attorney to a claim
  • Add a plaintiff attorney to a claim
  • Add a police department to a claim
  • Add a public claims adjuster to a claim
  • Add a fire department to a claim
  • Add a medical provider to a claim
