Create Policy (Legacy)

Button

Purpose

The BriteCore Policies builder includes a modern user interface (UI). The Create Policy (Legacy) button opens a New Policy dialog box that redirects users to BriteCore’s legacy policy builder. This gives users an option to create a new policy in a more familiar UI.

Location

The Create Policy (Legacy) button appears in three screens of the Administrative portal:

  • Policies, on the updated screen, when the advanced setting enable-new-policy-search is set to True.

  • Legacy Search, when the advanced setting enable-new-policy-search is set to True.

  • Daily Cash Receipt under the Payments tab. The Payments tab and Daily Cash Receipt screen appear regardless of advanced settings.

If the advanced setting enable-new-policy-search is set to False, the Legacy Search screen will load as the default Policies screen.

Note: Figures 1, 2, and 3 illustrate a particular UI configuration where the main menu and Policies submenu appear in the top right corner of the screen. The main menu and submenus may also appear as sidebars on the left side of the screen.

Field default

By default, Create Policy (Legacy) displays as a button.

Change the default

When you select the Create Policy (Legacy) button, the appearance of the New Policy dialog box is slightly different depending on the screen:

  • Policies: The user interface for the New Policy dialog box is newer on the updated Policies screen. You may select X to exit the New Policy dialog box without saving the new policy or enter new policy information and select the Create Policy button to be directed to the legacy policy builder.

Usage considerations

The Create Policy (Legacy) button can’t be customized and appears only in the Administrative portal. You must set the Policies advanced setting use-wizard to True for the Create Policy (Legacy) button to appear.
