To endorse or make changes to a policy, you must create a new revision. By default, BriteCore allows users to independently create revisions (endorsements) on different dates without issuing them. To prevent having multiple open revisions on a single policy, you can use the prevent-creation-of-multiple-open-revisions-simultaneously advanced setting.
To create a new revision:
- Select Policies.
- On the Policies List screen, select a policy number to open a policy with an open revision.
- Next to Revision, select New to open the New Revision dialog box.
- In the Revision Date boxes, type the effective date of the new revision.
- Select Done.
The revision will open on the policy and show with a Pending label above Revision (Figure 1). You can make many modifications in several sessions within a single revision. Changes won’t take effect on the policy until you commit the revision.

Note: If you make changes to a renewed policy, you may have to resolve issues in Persistent Builder before you can create a new revision.
