Document settings

In BriteCore, there are four types of document settings relating to Line Items:

  • Policy
  • Line item
  • Global
  • Advanced

Access policy document settings

To access policy document settings:

  1. In the BriteCore menu, select Lines.
  2. On the Effective Dates screen, select the effective date you want to use.
  3. On the Policy Types screen, select the Select State or Province dropdown list, and then select a state or province.
  4. In the policy types list, navigate to the policy type you want to access the document settings for. Then, to the left of the policy type, select the edit pencil icon .
  5. On the Policy Type – Details screen, in the Documents section, you can access the document settings listed in the Policy document settings table.

Note: The settings are only available if there is a document attached to the policy type.

Suppress PrintingThe form doesn’t print for this policy type.
Always Print on RenewalThe form always prints on renewal for this policy type.
Applies when Mortgagee on PolicyThe form only prints when a user adds a specific type of mortgagee is added to a policy. You can configure options for mortgagee types using the Settings > Modules > Policies > Mortgagee Types setting.

Access line item document settings

To access line item document settings:

  1. In the BriteCore menu, select Lines.
  2. On the Effective Dates screen, select the effective date you want to use.
  3. On the Policy Types screen, select the Select State or Province dropdown list, and then select a state or province.
  4. In the policy types list, navigate to the policy type you want to access, and then, to the left of the policy type, select the edit pencil icon .
  5. On the Policy Type – Details screen, in the Setup section, to the left of the line item you want to access the document settings for, select the edit pencil icon .
  6. On the Edit Line Item screen, in the Document(s) section, you can access the document settings listed in the Line item document settings table.
  7. When you are finished, select Save.

Note: The settings are only available if there is a document attached to the line item.

Print only when this item’s premium is [greater than/greater or equal to/equal to/not equal to/less or equal to/less than] $0The form on that specific line only prints if the premium falls between the set parameters.
Document Printing Depends on Selected Category Values:The form only prints when a user chooses certain categories on the policy.If a user selects category value 2% for Inflation Guard, then the Inflation Guard 2% form prints.
Always Print on RenewalThe form always prints on renewal when this line item is present on the policy.Scheduled Personal Property Firearms is an optional coverage and doesn’t always live on a policy. When it is on a policy, a client may want the Scheduled Personal Property form to always print on renewal.

Access global document settings

To access global document settings:

  1. In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
  2. On the Business Locations screen, select the Deliverables tab.
  3. On the Deliverables screen, you can access the document settings listed in the Global document settings table below.
  4. When you are finished, select Save.

Access the advanced document setting

To access the advanced document setting:

  1. In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
  2. On the Business Locations screen, select the Advanced tab.
  3. On the Advanced Settings screen, in the Search for a Setting box, type sort-forms-for-printing, and then select Search.
  4. In the sort-forms-for-printing box, select True to print forms alphabetically.

Note: Changes are saved automatically.
