Edit a revision date

When making changes to an existing policy, you can edit the effective date before you commit the revision by selecting Edit Revision Date. You can correct the effective date of a pending revision if you entered an incorrect effective date.

To set a revision effective date:

  1. In the BriteCore menu, select Policies.
  2. On the Policy Search screen, locate and access a policy.
  3. Select the New link next to Revision to display the New Revision dialog box.
  4. In the Revision Date boxes, type the effective date of the revision.
  5. Select Done.

Revise the policy as needed. The revision to the policy will remain in Pending status and won’t take effect until you commit it.

To edit the revision effective date:

  1. Select Edit Revision Date to display the Policy Effective Date dialog box.
  2. In the Date boxes, type a new effective date of the revision.

Note: You can’t save a date that is outside of the current policy term or is the same or prior to an existing, committed revision date.

  3. Select Done.

To commit the revision with a new effective date:

  1. On the Builder tab, select Rate and Save.
  2. In the policy header, select Commit. The revision will be committed, which saves the changes made to the policy.
