When making changes to an existing policy, you can edit the effective date before you commit the revision by selecting Edit Revision Date. You can correct the effective date of a pending revision if you entered an incorrect effective date.
To edit a revision date:
- Select Policies.
- From the Policies List screen, select a policy number to open a policy.
- Next to Revision, select New to open the New Revision dialog box.
- In the Revision Date boxes, type the effective date of the revision.
- Select Done.
- Revise the policy as needed. The revision to the policy will remain in pending status and won’t take effect until you commit it.
- Select Edit Revision Date to open the Edit Revision dialog box.
- In the Revision Date boxes, type a new effective date of the revision.
Note: You can’t save a date that is outside of the current policy term or is the same or prior to an existing, committed revision date.
- Select Done.
- On the Builder tab, select Rate and Save.
- Commit the revision to save the changes to the policy.
The revision with the edited effective date will be committed to the policy.
