Enable or disable Account settings  

The Account setting determines whether a user in the Policyholder portal can edit their mailing address, phone number, and phone type.

To enable or disable Account settings:

  1. Go to the Settings dashboard.
  2. Select Account under Settings in the sidebar.
  3. Select the slide to enable. Select the slide again to disable.

Some Account settings are enabled by default. Table 1 summarizes the Account settings.

Setting Default Description
Change Mailing Address

Enabled 

During enrollment: If the setting is enabled, the insured can change their mailing address on the Verify Contact screen.

If the setting is disabled, the Insured can’t change their Mailing address.

When the user is enrolled: If the setting is enabled, the insured can change their mailing address on the Account screen.

If the setting is disabled, the Insured can’t change their mailing address.

Change Phone Number
Enabled

During enrollment: If the setting is enabled, the insured can change their phone number on the Verify Contact screen.

If the setting is disabled, the Insured can’t change their phone number.

When the user is enrolled: If the setting is enabled, the insured can change their phone number  on the Account screen.

If the setting is disabled, the Insured can’t change their phone number.

During enrollment: If the setting is enabled, the phone type will display on the sign up screen for each of the insured's phone numbers.*

If the setting is disabled, the phone type will not display.

When user is enrolled: If the setting is enabled, the phone type will display on the Account screen for each of the insured's phone numbers.*

If the setting is disabled, the phone type will not display.

Your Agent/Your Carrier: If the setting is enabled, the phone type will display on the Your Agent and Your Carrier screens for each of the agent/carrier phone numbers, but they can never be edited.*

If the setting is disabled, the phone type will not display.

When user is enrolled and during enrollment: If Change Phone Number setting is disabled, the phone type can't be edited.

* The phone type must be in BriteCore for it to display.
