Enable or disable Enrollment settings

The Enrollment settings determine the options available to a user during enrollment. Some of the settings are read only.

To enable or disable Enrollment settings:

  1. Go to the Settings dashboard.
  2. Select Enrollment under Settings in the sidebar.
  3. Under each setting, select the slide to enable. Select the slide again to disable.

Table 1 summarizes the Enrollment settings.

Add Additional Phone Numbers

During enrollment:

If the setting is enabled, Add Another Phone Number will display on the Verify Contact screen.*

If the setting is disabled, Add Another Phone Number will not display.

When a user is enrolled:

If the setting is enabled, Add Another Phone Number will display on the Account screen when updating contact information.*

If the setting is disabled, Add Another Phone Number will not display.

*To add phone numbers, the Change Phone Number setting must be enabled.

Password Strength

Enabled
No

Controls the strength of the password the user must create. Valid values are 0 – 4:

  • 0 – The password is too predictable and very risky (e.g. 1111).
  • 1 – The password is easy to guess (e.g. 122456).
  • 2 – The password is somewhat easy to guess (e.g. Im!58@g).
  • 3 – The password is hard to guess (e.g. hard-to-guess).
  • 4 – The password is very hard to guess (e.g. h@rd-to-guess!).

During enrollment:

Setting controls the Password Strength meter on the Account Setup screen.

When user is enrolled:

Setting controls the Password Strength meter on the Change Account Settings screen.

Login:

Setting controls the Password Strength meter on the Reset Password screen when user selects Forgot Password on the login screen.

Password Verification

Enabled
No

During Enrollment:

  • If the setting is enabled, the Confirm Password field will display on the Account Settings screen and the user must enter the password a second time to verify it was entered correctly.
  • If disabled, the Confirm Password field will not display.

Redirect SMS-message to phone number

This is used only on nonproduction environments to redirect all SMS messages to another phone. This ensures messages are not sent to real insureds during testing.

If this setting is set to Empty, no messages will be sent at all.

Send Portal Code via Email

Enabled

No

During enrollment:

  • If the setting is enabled and the insured has an email in BriteCore, the method to send a security code by email will be an option when confirming identify using Send me a security code via email or SMS.
  • If disabled or the insured doesn’t have an email in BriteCore, this option is not available.
  • If the settings Send Portal Code via Email and Send Portal Code via SMS are both disabled or if the insured doesn’t have an email and a phone number in BriteCore, Send me a security code via email or SMS will not be an option.

Send Portal Code via SMS

Enabled
No

During enrollment:

  • If the setting is enabled and the insured has a phone number in BriteCore, sending a security code by SMS will be an option when confirming identify using Send me a security code via email or SMS.
  • If disabled or the insured doesn’t have a phone number in BriteCore, this option is not available.
  • If the settings Send Portal Code via Email and Send Portal Code via SMS are both disabled or if the insured doesn’t have an email and a phone number in BriteCore, Send me a security code via email or SMS will not be an option.

Show detailed error information on policy lookup

Setting controls whether the user sees the Terms of Service screen during enrollment. The Terms of Service screen appears immediately after the Search for your policies screen.

During enrollment:

  • If the setting is enabled, the Terms of Service screen will display.
  • If the setting is disabled, the Terms of Service screen will not display.
  • For the screen to display, Terms of Service Content must contain text.

During enrollment:

Content added here will display on the Terms of Service screen only if the setting Terms of Service is enabled.  This is HTML content.

There is no default content, so the Terms of Services page will not appear if there is no content even if Terms of Service is enabled

Use Date of Birth During Enrollment

During Enrollment:

If the setting is enabled and there is a date of birth for the insured in BriteCore, Use Date of Birth will display when confirming identity.

If the setting is enabled and there is not a date of birth for the insured in BriteCore, Use Date of Birth will not display when confirming identity.

If the setting is disabled, Use Date of Birth will not display when confirming identity.

Use Last Name and DOB for Enrollment

During enrollment:

If the setting is enabled, the user can enter Last Name and DOB as the first step in creating an account.

If the Last Name and DOB are not a match or if the insured DOB is not in BriteCore, the user can retry or use a policy number.

If disabled, the user will use a policy number as the first step in creating an account.

Users Are Identified by Email Address

During enrollment:

If the setting is enabled, an email address is required on the Account Settings screen. This email will be used to identify the user when logging back in.

If the setting is disabled, a username is required on the Account Settings screen. This username will be used to identify the user when logging back in.

Login Screen:

If the setting is enabled, the login screen will require the user to log in with an email address.

If the setting is disabled, the login screen will require the user to log in with a username.

Use Social Security Number During Enrollment

During enrollment: 

If the setting is enabled and there is a social security number for the insured in BriteCore, Use the last four digits of my SSN will display when confirming identity.

If the setting is enabled and there is not a social security number for the insured in BriteCore, Use the last four digits of my SSN will not display when confirming identity.

If the setting is disabled, Use the last four digits of my SSN will not display when confirming identity.
