The Enrollment settings determine the options available to a user during enrollment. Some of the settings are read only.
To enable or disable Enrollment settings:
- Go to the Settings dashboard.
- Select Enrollment under Settings in the sidebar.
- Under each setting, select the slide to enable. Select the slide again to disable.
Table 1 summarizes the Enrollment settings.

Send Portal Code via Email | Enabled | No | During enrollment: If the setting is enabled and the insured has an email in BriteCore, the method to send a security code by email will be an option when confirming identify using Send me a security code via email or SMS. If disabled or the insured doesn’t have an email in BriteCore, this option is not available. If the settings Send Portal Code via Email and Send Portal Code via SMS are both disabled or if the insured doesn’t have an email and a phone number in BriteCore, Send me a security code via email or SMS will not be an option. |
Send Portal Code via SMS | Enabled | No | During enrollment: If the setting is enabled and the insured has a phone number in BriteCore, sending a security code by SMS will be an option when confirming identify using Send me a security code via email or SMS. If disabled or the insured doesn’t have a phone number in BriteCore, this option is not available. Show detailed error information on policy lookup | Enabled | No | Setting controls whether the user sees the Terms of Service screen during enrollment. The Terms of Service screen appears immediately after the Search for your policies screen. |

Use Last Name and DOB for Enrollment | Disabled | No | During enrollment: If the setting is enabled, the user can enter Last Name and DOB as the first step in creating an account. If the Last Name and DOB are not a match or if the insured DOB is not in BriteCore, the user can retry or use a policy number. Users Are Identified by Email Address | Enabled | No | During enrollment: If the setting is enabled, an email address is required on the Account Settings screen.
