Get started with BriteApps: Set up your mobile version

The second step in getting started with BriteApps is to set up the mobile version, called the Policyholder portal.

The first step in setting up the mobile version of the app is to get a DUNS number for your company. To create an Apple Developer account, you need a valid DUNS number.

Create an Apple Developer account

You may use an existing Apple Developer account or create a new one. To create a new Apple Developer account, you must use an Apple device. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Apple ID page to create your Apple ID.
  2. For security, enable two-factor authentication on your Apple device.
  3. Set up your company for an  Apple Developer Account:
    1. You must enter your company’s POC to communicate with Apple representatives. Your company’s POC must have the authority to sign legal agreements and doesn’t have to be the same POC liaising with BriteApps.
    2. You must have a valid DUNS number and an active Apple ID to set up your Apple Developer account.
  4. After enrollment, an Apple representative will call your POC (usually within 24–48 hours) to verify your information and approve the account.
  5. Once Apple approves your account, complete the enrollment by paying for the annual Apple Developer account fee ($99).
  6. Add your dedicated BriteApps team member as an administrator/manager to your Apple Developer account.
  7. Your company will receive an email to join App Store Connect. Follow the link to join. Your company must enroll in App Store Connect for the BriteApps team to submit and manage your app.
  8. Add your dedicated BriteApps team member as administrator/manager to the Apple Connect account.
  9. The BriteApps team pushes the App to the stores.
  10. Apple approves the app.
  11. Provide BriteApps with your company logo. The image resolution should be  300 x 70 px or equivalent (600 x 140 px). The logo displays on the launch screen and in the header of the mobile application.
  12. Provide the BriteApps team with an icon. The image resolution should be 1024 x 1024 px or equivalent. The icon displays on the Apple or Android home screen.

To set up a Google Play Store Account: 

The BriteApps team will set up the Google Play Store Account or you. Please submit the following to the team:

  • Provide the BriteApps team with a link to your company Privacy Statement.
  • Provide BriteApps with your company logo. The image resolution should be  300 x 70 px or equivalent (600 x 140 px). The logo displays on the launch screen and in the header of the mobile application.
  • Provide the BriteApps team with an icon. The image resolution should be 1024 x 1024 px or equivalent. The icon displays on the Apple or Android home screen.
