Searching Claims by External Adjuster and Supervisor Name (BC-16730)
BriteCore users can now search claims by External Adjuster and/or Supervisor name, providing an improved workflow when handling third-party claims.
Improved Constraining For CAT Locations (BC-16368)
When specifying CAT details, BriteCore optionally included a Location box depending on the catastrophes-location-field setting. BriteCore has improved the location filtering to support finer-grained control, that includes State, County and ZIP code.
Improving BriteCore Rating Performance (BC-16806)
As part of its ongoing performance improvement initiative, BriteCore optimized slow-performing rating queries, improving rate and save, CLUE property or when a revision has an empty loss report performance, without affecting existing functionality.
Contacts Endpoint Role Filter (BC-16749)
The endpoint contacts/list_all_contacts now supports a “role” filter. When set, only contacts associated with the specified role(s) are returned. Example roles: ["External Claims Adjuster", "Claims Adjuster", "Claims Supervisor"]. Improves performance and streamlines contact searches by role.
New Lines Configuration and Additional API Updates (BC-14369, BC-15367, BC-15649, BC-16449, BC-16594)
BriteCore continues to enhance system access through APIs by creating the following new APIs:
- Delete Effective Date: api/v2/lines/delete_effective_date
- Delete Policy Type: api/v2/lines/delete_policy_type
- Rewrite Policy: /api/v2/policies/rewrite_policy (copies all subjectivities and status to the new revision).
- Modify Policy Type: /api/v2/policies/modify_policy_type (allows full rate_chain replacement and updates policy_type).
- Retrieve_contact call now returns the contact’s system tags.

Enhanced list_subjectivities API (BC-15167)
A new key, subjectivity_definition, returns a complete object with all subjectivity details.
Add exception handling for Dropbox API uploads to warn against issues like dropbox full (BC-16336)
When Dropbox is out of space or otherwise fails, BriteCore now publishes an error to aid in faster resolution.
Additional Information for Cancellation & Non-Renewal Reasons (BC-16549, BC16551)
BriteCore now stores cancellation and non-renewal reasons, along with print descriptions. Users can configure whether the print description is modifiable. Facilitates reporting and clarity around policy cancellation reasons.
Defects
Supporting Email Addresses with "+" Symbol (BC-16653)
BriteCore now properly handles email addresses containing “+” in the contacts section.
Line Item Stuck in Processing (BC-16875)
Previously, editing and saving a line item could get stuck on “Processing” indefinitely. Now, the dialog and process completes properly.
Authority Limits Not Working (BC-16854)
Upon setting a hard authority limit, when that limit was exceeded, for example a hard reserve limit for all reserves, an error message should be displayed notifying the user that he/she is exceeding the limit. BriteCore was failing with an internal error rather than notifying the user of the overage. BriteCore now delivers the authority exceeded message.
Claim Authority Limits Email Requirements (BC-16784)
Emails for exceeded authority limits previously only sent if 2 or more addresses were specified. Now the application notifies any specified address.
Multi-client Mutual Inspection Bureau (MIB) Error “Exceeded Response Size” (BC-16754)
Some carriers received an error (Response size 2204KB exceeds max 2048KB) when requesting MIB inspections. This has been resolved, ensuring the output remains available for subsequent workflow steps.
MIB Implementation "Can't Access File" Message and failing request (BC-16016)
Double-clicking the MIB request button caused a failure. The system now processes only on the first click.
Incorrect Due Date on Amended Billing Statements (BC-16654)
Endorsements that decrease premium could cause an incorrect due date on the amended billing statement. This issue has been resolved.
Potential Deadlock in Claims Table (BC-13473)
A SQL query that could cause index contention in the claims table has been fixed to prevent performance bottlenecks.
Unable to Print Declaration Page (BC-14926)
Very large table cells could cause declaration page printing to fail. The system now detects if a table exceeds 99 items and prompts the user to split it.
Default/Mandatory Line Items in Renewals (BC-15571)
Previously, removing a default/mandatory line item from a policy might cause it to reappear at renewal. Now you can separate renewal requirements from new business requirements.
JMI Reports Integration Error (BC-16081)
“This is not a property” error occurred when property types were empty in the database. BriteCore now uses the revision policy type if the property type is not set.
No Notes Created When Updating Agency Number (BC-16094)
Key activities within BriteCore are captured in notes for logging, so administrators can see who modified the system at which time. Agency number changes are now logged in the system notes for better auditing and visibility.
Renewal Billing Statement Shows Incorrect Due Date (BC-16410)
Corrected an issue causing the wrong date to appear for renewal bills generated close to the renewal date.
Daily Cash Receipts Performance Enhancement (BC-16536)
BriteCore has removed bottlenecks in the policy-number validation process, significantly improving performance. Previously, lookups could take up to 30 seconds to complete; now, they consistently finish in approximately two seconds. This enhancement offers a smoother experience and faster daily cash receipt operations.
Claim Accounting UI Display Issue (BC-16576)
Resolved a misalignment of the < symbol on the Claim Accounting UI.
