Enhancements
Accepting Manual Quote Number in Copy Quote Process (BC-16955)
The copy quote functionality, which is available only to underwriters, has been enhanced to allow either an automatically generated policy number or a manually supplied policy number through a new dialog in the copy quote process. This allows the user more control when copying quotes.
Restricting Agent View of Failure Reasons in Quote Wizard (TS-2130)
A new setting, review_status.section.hide_stp_results, has been added to the Features section of the Quote Wizard. When enabled, this setting hides failure reasons from agents during the quoting process, preventing adjustments based on STP failures and ensuring quotes pass through straight-through processing (STP) as intended. Admins retain full visibility of failure reasons for troubleshooting. The setting is off by default to maintain current functionality until activated by a system administrator. This update ensures that hiding failure reasons does not affect other parts of the quoting or policy creation process.
Defects
Nightly Processing Errors - Deliverables failing to generate (BC-17333, BC-17313)
For a small subset of clients, BriteCore failed to generate deliverables during nightly processing and also during daily tasks. Error messages in emails sent contained the text “Error: Data must be padded to 16 byte boundary in CBC mode”. This error has been resolved and was caused by an errant interaction between BriteCore and certain vendor integrations.
Creating renewal after background renewal failure (BC-17187)
Once a renewal failure occurs and a background job is marked as failed, the user cannot try to create a new renewal revision because the system believes there is already a new revision still being created. This is not the case as the job has already been marked as failed. This situation occurred for a few clients and the issue was resolved in this release.
Print Description defaulted to "null" upon Cancel on Specific Date workflow and Non-Renew Workflow (BC-17964)
An issue causing the Print Description field to default to "NULL" when processing policy cancellations and non-renewals has been resolved. This behavior resulted from a system enhancement intended to capture cancellation and non-renewal reasons. Previously, users had to manually input a space to prevent "NULL" from appearing on printed documents. Now the Print Description will no longer auto-fill with "NULL," ensuring deliverables correctly pull the cancellation reason without requiring manual intervention.
Long description in Insured Disclosure item caused PDF rendering error (BC-16951)
An issue causing PDF generation failures when insured disclosures contained very long descriptions has been resolved. Previously, there was no character limit, leading to rendering errors. To address this, the input field and database column are now limited to 1,300 characters. Additionally, the PDF rendering logic has been updated to ensure that long descriptions are properly formatted into cells, preventing layout issues. If a disclosure entry exceeds the available space on a page, it will automatically move to the next page.
HSB Equipment Breakdown Report Error (BC-16566)
When executing the Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB) Equipment Breakdown report, BriteCore clients received the error message “[Errno 2] no such file or directory:” and no report was generated. The issue has been resolved, and now these HSB Equipment Breakdown reports are generating properly.
