Hide a contact’s Social Security Number

To better protect a contact’s identity, the mask-ssn-on-edit-contact setting hides all but the last four digits of a contact’s social security number (SSN) when the contact is edited in the Agent portal. When masked, SSN’s throughout BriteCore will show as xxx-xx-1234. This setting is enabled by default.

This setting is recommended, but to disable the setting, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Advanced.
  2. Search for mask-ssn-on-edit-contact.
  3. Select False.
