Manage adjuster groups and user roles

You can assign adjusters to a claim from three locations:

  • The Assign Adjusters screen.
  • The Claim Assignments section of a claim file’s Parties screen.
  • The Actions column of an exposure of a claim file’s Exposures screen.

In each location, when you assign an adjuster, you must search for an adjuster or select an adjuster from a menu of names. BriteClaims users who belong to the Adjuster group are available to be assigned as an adjuster. To add a user to the Adjuster group, you must first create the Adjuster group and then assign users to that group.

Create the Adjuster group

The Adjuster group is a user group, and it is managed within the Users module. To add the Adjuster group:

  1. In the BriteCore menu, select Users.
  2. In the Users menu, select + Create New Group. The Create New Group dialog box will open.
  3. In the Name box, type Adjuster.
  4. In the Description box, type a description for the group, such as Claims Adjusters.
  5. Select Create New Group.

Assign a user to the Adjuster group

After you create the Adjuster group, you can assign users to the group. The users you assign will be the users you can search or the users that appear in the Adjuster menu when you assign an adjuster to a claim.

To assign users to the Adjuster group:

  1. In the BriteCore menu, select Users.
  2. In the Search box, type the name of the user you want to add to the Adjuster group. Select Search or press Enter/Return on your keyboard.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the correct user’s name.
  4. On the header row of the Users and Groups table, select Add to Group. The Add Users to Group dialog box will open.
  5. From the Group dropdown list, select Adjuster.
  6. Select Add Users to Group.
