Manage printers

Adding printers to Titanium Blizzard enables you to print BriteCore documents manually or automatically. The first printer displayed in the BriteCore Printers section is the default printer.

Add printers

To add printers to Titanium Blizzard:

  1. Open Titanium Blizzard.

  2. In the top-left, select Titanium Blizzard Menu.

  3. Select Configuration.

  4. Under the BriteCore Printers box, select Add.

  5. Select the printer you want to add.

  6. To use auto-print, configure document sorting and tray routing.

Note: Auto-print is enabled by default. For more information, see Printing automatically with Titanium Blizzard.

  1. Select Save and Close.

Configure printers

Manually printing BriteCore documents with Titanium Blizzard shouldn’t require much printer configuration. Automatically printing BriteCore documents with Titanium Blizzard or batch printing documents with Titanium Blizzard will require you to configure the printer.

To configure a printer:

  1. Open Titanium Blizzard.

  2. In the top-left, select Titanium Blizzard Menu.

  3. Select Configuration.

  4. In the BriteCore Printers box, select a printer.

  5. Select Edit.

  6. Select the optional printer settings you want.

    1. You must select Print by Document Type (Uses specified sort order) to batch print documents with Titanium Blizzard.

    2. You must configure sorting and routing to automatically print documents with Titanium Blizzard.

  7. Select Save and Close.

You must configure document sorting and tray routing to Printing automatically with Titanium Blizzard with Titanium Blizzard.

Configure document sort order

Configure how documents are sorted when downloaded from BriteCore and printed:

  • If you use Print by policy number, you can define how the documents are ordered within a policy.

  • If you use Print by document type, Titanium Blizzard will group all files by document type and print them in the order you define.

To configure the Document Sort Order:

  1. Open Titanium Blizzard.

  2. In the top-left, select Titanium Blizzard Menu.

  3. Select Configuration.

  4. In the BriteCore Printers box, select a printer.

  5. Select Edit.

  6. In the Configure Printer dialog box, select Configure Sorting & Routing.

  7. Under Document Sort Order, select a document type or batch label.

  8. Drag and drop to define the order documents should print.

  9. Select Save and Close.

Configure tray routing

Titanium Blizzard offers two tray routing options:

  • Single tray routing allows you to select one paper tray for all routing. Most clients use Automatically Select, which lets the printer choose which paper tray to print from.

Note: Most home printers only have one paper tray, so the single tray routing should be used for remote home printing.

  • Advanced Routing Schema allows you to set up individual paper trays and specify which documents print from each tray. Document types must be nested within paper trays.

Configure single tray routing

To configure single tray routing:

  1. Open Titanium Blizzard.

  2. In the top-left, select Titanium Blizzard Menu.

  3. Select Configuration.

  4. In the BriteCore Printers box, select a printer.

  5. Select Edit.

  6. In the Configure Printer dialog box, select Configure Sorting & Routing.

  7. From the Automatically Select dropdown list, select a paper tray.

  8. Select Save and Close.

Configure advanced routing schema

  1. Open Titanium Blizzard.

  2. In the top-left, select Titanium Blizzard Menu.

  3. Select Configuration.

  4. In the BriteCore Printers box, select a printer.

  5. Select Edit.

  6. In the Configure Printer dialog box, select Configure Sorting & Routing.

  7. Select the Use Advanced Routing Schema checkbox.

  8. Use the Add to Schema and Remove Selected tools to set up paper trays.

    1. Document types should be nested under paper trays, but document types shouldn’t be nested under other document types.

    2. Add an additional tray with no known documents. Unknown documents will default to this tray.

    3. Document sort order determines the order document types will print, so the order of documents in the Advanced Routing Schema isn’t important.

  9. Select Save and Close.
