Mutual Boiler Re (MBRe) is a mutual equipment breakdown reinsurer that provides a reinsurance solution for commercial, home, farm and service line coverage.
General setup
To complete the general setup, you will need to contact Mutual Boiler Re.
MBRe will help you:
- Determine your needs.
- Manage your expectations.
- Guide you through the necessary paperwork.
MBRe will provide you with the following information:
- Host: Efeed.MutualBoilerRe.com
- Username
- Password
- Company code
BriteCore setup
To complete the MBRe setup in BriteCore:
- In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
- In the Settings menu, select Vendors.
- On the Vendors screen, next to Mutual Boiler Reinsurance, select the edit icon
.
- In the Mutual Boiler dialog box, complete the following steps:
- In the FTP section, type your Host, Username, Password, and Company Code in the respective boxes.
- In the Products section, select the Add New Product icon.
- In the Program Type dropdown list, select the applicable type.
- Select Save.
Note: You can repeat the steps for other additions.
System Tags
To set up System Tags:
- In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
- In the Settings menu, select System Wide, and then select System Tags.
- In the Tags section, in the Select a Tag dropdown list, select MBR – Equipment Breakdown. You can also type your selection to find tags faster.
- In the Select an Effective Date dropdown list, select or type the applicable effective date.
- Select Tag New Items.
- In the Named box, type the name of the line item you want to tag, and then press Enter/Return.
- In each row, type the MBRe product the line item should report under, such as Homeowners, Commercial, or Farm.
- Example: If the Equipment Breakdown coverage is on the Homeowners line of business, then tag the line item as Homeowners.
- Select Done.
BriteCore processing
To set up processing in BriteCore:
Note: Complete the following steps on the first business day of each month.
- In the BriteCore menu, select Policies.
- In the Policies menu, select Processing.
- On the Processing screen, select Mutual Boiler Re, and then select Generate Last Month’s Report.
- To view the data, select the .txt file.
Note: If the file is empty, Empty will appear next to the file.
- Once you verify the data, select Send Last Month’s Report.
Note: Next to each .txt file you have successfully sent, you will see Sent.
