Overview
A Note is created when a Policy/Quote is Rate and Saved so you have a record of who updated the policy’s rate. A note is written each time a user, agent or staff member, clicks Rate and Save successfully. For example:
- When a Quote is Rated and Saved, a Note is created on the Quote
- When a Policy is Rated and Saved, a Note is created on the Policy
- If a lines validation message or error occurs when rating and saving, a note is not created
The Note includes the following information:
- Policy/Quote was Rated
- Pro-rata Premium
- Annual Premium
- Who made the change
- Time Stamp
Agent rate and save new quote
- Log in and an Agent
- Select New Quote
- Provide required details
- Click Rate and Save
Administrator verify note creation
- Login as an Administrator
- Navigate to Notes tab of the Quote
- Verify that a new Note titled Quote Rated created
Agent rate and save policy module
- Log in as an Agent
- Navigate to Policies
- Select an existing Quote
- Click Application button to turn Quote into an Application
- In the Rating tab, update the Dwelling Limit
- Select Rate and Save
Administrator verify note creation
- Login as an Administrator
- Navigate to Notes tab of Policy Application
- Verify a new note titled Policy Rated will be created
Agent generate note for rate & save change on existing policy
- Login as an Agent
- Navigate to Policies
- Select an existing policy
- Click Quote a Change
- Enter New Policy Change Date and click Done
- Navigate to Risks tab
- Update Coverage information
- Select Rate and Save
Administrator verify note creation
- Log in as an Administrator
- Navigate to Notes tab of policy
- Confirm Note was created for Policy Quote
Administrator quote, rate and save note on new policies
- Login as an Administrator
- Navigate to Policies
- Select Create a New Policy
- Select Dwelling Property as Property Type
- Enter Policy Information
- Select Rate and Save
- Navigate to Notes and confirm Note was created
Administrator rate and save on existing policy revisions (same date as policy inception)
- Login as an Administrator
- Navigate to Policy
- Navigate to the Builders tab
- Create New Revision and Update Coverages
- Click Rate and Save
- Navigate to Notes tab and confirm Note created
- Click Commit Revision
