Reinstate a policy

With BriteCore, you can reinstate a policy that has been canceled or has the status Cancellation Pending. Similar to Endorse Policy and Cancel Policy, Reinstate Policy can be accessed from the policy header of a policy’s Overview screen. Reinstate Policy will appear only on policies that have been canceled or are in Cancellation Pending status.

When a policy is canceled, Cancel Policy is replaced by Reinstate Policy. When a policy has the status Cancellation Pending, Reinstate Policy appears directly below Cancel Policy.

Note: Agents can’t reinstate a policy since Reinstate Policy isn’t visible to nor can be accessed by agents.

To reinstate a canceled policy:

  1. Select Policies and Quotes.
  2. Navigate to and access the policy you want to reinstate. The policy’s Overview screen will display.
  3. In the policy header, navigate to and select Reinstate Policy. The Reinstate Policy dialog box will open.
  4. In the Reinstatement Date box, the effective date of the policy cancellation will display. You can’t alter the date in this box.
