Renewal Queue overview

Policies set to renew should automatically renew on their renewal date. It’s possible for a policy scheduled for renewal to fail to renew automatically. When a policy fails to renew automatically, it will appear in the Renewal Queue. The Renewal Queue can be found under Work Queues on the Policies sidebar.

Note: When policies marked as Non-Renew fail to renew, they won’t appear in the Renewal Queue. Only policies that are supposed to renew and fail to renew will appear in the Renewal Queue.

In the Renewal Queue, you can view policies that haven’t been renewed, you can search for and locate specific policies that haven’t been renewed, and you can access policies that haven’t been renewed. On the Renewal Queue screen, directly below Renewal Queue, you will see the current number of failed policies that need to be reviewed.

Search for and locate a policy

The Search box appears directly above the Renewal Queue table.

To search for a policy:

  1. In the Search box, type your search criteria (policy number, named insured, failure reason).
  2. Press Enter/Return on your keyboard or select Search.

You can also locate a policy by sorting columns in the Renewal Queue table. See the Renewal Queue table section below.

Renewal Queue table

When you access the Renewal Queue, you will see the Renewal Queue table, which displays all policies that failed to renew. The table has the following columns:

  • Policy
  • Named Insured
  • Policy Type
  • Renewal Date 
  • Failure Date 
  • Failure Reason

You can sort the columns of the Renewal Queue table, which can assist you in locating the policy you want to review. To sort a column, select the arrows to the right of the column title. For example, if you want to sort the Renewal Queue table by the Named Insured column, select the arrows to the right of Named Insured. If you select the arrows one time, the Renewal Queue table will be sorted by the Named Insured column in ascending alphanumeric order: A-Z, 0-9. If you select the arrows a second time, the Renewal Queue table will be sorted by the Named Insured column in descending alphanumeric order, Z-A, 9-0. If you select the arrows a third time, the Renewal Queue table will return to its original state.

Pagination

You can navigate to additional pages of the Renewal Queue table, if more policies exist in the Renewal Queue than can fit on the page.

You can update the number of policies that will appear per page in the Renewal Queue table. You can choose from the following options:

  • 5/page
  • 10/page
  • 20/page
  • 50/page
  • 100/page

Review a policy

To review a policy that failed to renew, locate the policy in the Renewal Queue table. Select anywhere in the row of the policy. You will be redirected to the Overview screen of the policy. Once you have finished the review you can manually renew the policy. See Renew a policy manually.
