Set up contact fields

You can set up and configure fields to display in classic BriteCore services and the Policy Wizard.

You can use three contact fields—Legal Entity Type, Date Business Started, and DBA—to improve the underwriting process for commercial insurance. To make contact fields active, see Active fields and Establish active fields in BriteCore

Users can be required to select Legal Entity Type, Date Business Started, and DBA when activated. To require specific contact fields, see Required fields.

The Legal Entity Type field appears as a dropdown under the Role section within a contact. The Date Business Started and DBA fields appear as boxes under the Role section within a contact. All three fields also appear on the Policy Setup screen. These fields appear in both classic BriteCore services and the Policy Wizard. The Legal Entity Type field appears as a dropdown list. To set up the options available in this dropdown list, see Legal entity types or Manage legal entity types.

In addition to activating fields, requiring fields, and defining fields, you can use additional advanced settings to show more detailed information.
