Underwriting rule effects added to the Agent Wizard’s Questions screen

We added underwriting rule effects functionality to the Questions screen of V2 Agent Wizard.

When the classic Quote Wizard was created, the underwriting rule effects weren’t implemented on the Questions screen. Since clients have underwriting rules they want to be triggered on the Questions screen, this created a problem. The new feature allows all underwriting rule effects to be triggered from the Quote Wizard’s Questions screen in classic BriteCore client sites.

Changes

Users can now configure underwriting rules that can be triggered from the V2 Quote Wizard’s Questions screen.

Important: All rules configured to trigger from the Questions screen shouldn’t be premium bearing. If a client would like to make an effect that would impact premium, we should consider showing that question on the Rating screen, which we support via features settings in the Quote Wizard.

The following types of rules aren’t implemented with this change:

  1. Any rule that hides a policy question on the Rating screen based on the value of a property question on the Questions screen.
  2. Any rule that hides a policy question on the Coverages screen based on the value of a property question on the Questions screen.
  3. Any rule that changes a category based on the value of a question.

    Note: This doesn’t invalidate the rating and works only if changing the question value on the question’s screen.

  4. Any rule that hides a question on the Rating screen based on the value of another question.

    Note: When using the Add Line Item effect for a rule that will trigger from the Questions screen of the Quote Wizard, the user will need to either go back to the Rating screen or refresh the Questions screen for the effect to be applied.
