View inbound payments

You can view inbound premium payments on a policy’s Accounts Receivable screen or in the central Payment Log queue, located in Policies > Payments.

Accounts Receivable screen

To view payments on the Accounts Receivable screen:

  1. Search for and access the policy.
  2. Select Accounts Receivable.
  3. Scroll to the Account History table on the Accounts Receivable screen.
  4. Locate the payment you want to view and select the row that the payment is on. The payment’s Details and Premium Overview Snapshot sections will display.

When you view a payment on the Accounts Receivable screen, you can void or delete a payment or you can mark the payment as NSF. See Void the payment and Mark a payment as Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) for more information.

Payment Log screen

To view payments on the Payment Log screen:

  1. Navigate to Policies > Payments > Payment Log.
  2. Search by specific criteria associated with the payment(s) or filter the Payment Log list by date range.
    1. To search by specific criteria, in the Search box, type any of the following information:
      1. Policy Number.
      2. Payor on payment.
      3. Payment Method (cash, check, ACH, credit card)

        Note: If you search by credit card, search by credit card type, such as Visa, MasterCard, etc.

      4. Amount of payment.
    2. To filter the Payment Log by date range:
      1. In the Filter From (MM/DD/YYYY) boxes, type the start date of the date range you want to filter by.
      2. In the Filter To (MM/DD/YYYY) boxes, type the end date of the date range you want to filter by.
      3. Select Search or press Enter/Return on your keyboard.
  3. Locate the payment(s) you want to view and select the arrow at the left side of the payment row. Information about the policy that the payment was paid on will display, such as the Policy Number, Effective Date, Billing Schedule, Primary Insured, and Agent.

When you view payments in the Payment Log, you can delete or void a payment, mark a payment as NSF, and transfer a payment to another policy. See Void a payment, Mark a payment as Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), and Transfer a payment for more information.

Note: While you can mark a payment as NSF on the Payment Log screen, it’s recommended that you complete this action within the Accounts Receivable screen of the policy that payment is issued on.

When you view payments on the Payment Log screen, you can view all payments made in the system, as well as obtain the Electronic Payments Report. See Retrieve the Electronic Payments Report for more information.
