When you access a policy, you are automatically directed to the Overview screen. The Overview screen of a policy is where you view important information regarding insureds and insured property and where you initiate policy transactions, such as endorsements. The Overview screen is divided into:
- Policy header
- Overview tab
- Policy History tab
- Custom tabs.
The policy header provides a snapshot of the policy and provides a list of actions you can initiate from the policy header. For more information about the policy header, see Policy header overview.
The Overview tab provides a summary of policy information and includes the Insured Details, Policy Details, Billing Overview, and Premium Details sections.
The Insured Details section has expandable boxes for each driver on the policy, which include the driver’s address. You can also select the arrow to the right of the insured to open the insured’s contact information in Contacts.
The Policy Details section includes information about the agent, commission rate, and renewal date for the policy.
The Billing Overview section includes high-level billing information, and the Premium Details section includes high-level premium information, such as the total annual premium and claims on the policy.
For more information about the Overview tab, see Policy’s Overview tab.
The Policy History tab displays policy transactions, such as committed endorsements and renewals. Use the Policy Term dropdown list to filter the policy transactions to a specific term.
You can expand each item in the table to view a description of the policy changes and a detailed log of items that were added, changed, or deleted since the last policy transaction. You can also open a PDF preview of any documents linked in the Documents column. See Policy’s Policy History tab for more information.
You can add additional, dynamically generated tabs that will appear on the Overview screen of every policy. These tabs can include expandable sections, and the expandable sections can have tabs nested within the section.
For example, for Personal Auto policies, you may want to add a Drivers tab and a Vehicles tab. See BritePolicies screen flow for additional information.
A Drivers tab could include additional information about the drivers on the policy. Each driver could be displayed in its own expandable section. Each driver’s section could display the following information when expanded:
- Personal information
- Date of birth
- Marital status
- Last four digits of the Social Security number
- Driver information
- License number
- License state
- License date
- Accidental information
A Vehicles tab could include information about each vehicle insured by the policy. Each vehicle could be displayed in its own expandable section, and the expanded section could be divided into three tabs. For example, you could have Vehicle Info, Coverage, and Additional Interests tabs for each vehicle.
The Vehicle Info tab could include basic vehicle information, such as year, make, and model; driver information; and garaging information. The Coverage tab could display a breakdown of the coverage, limit, and premium for each vehicle. The Additional Interests tab could list the type and name of any additional interests for the vehicle.
