In BriteCore, you can use Custom System Tags to create, edit, and remove your own System Tags. You can use tagged line items in conjunction with BriteData to produce clean and powerful reports.
Create Custom System Tags
- In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
- In the Settings menu, under System Wide, select System Tags.
- In the Custom System Tags section, select Edit Custom Tags.
- In the Custom Tags dialog box, select Add Tag.
- In the New Custom Tag box, complete the following steps:
- In the Name box, type the name of the tag.
- In the Required column, select the box to make it required.
- In the Show on the Dec? column, select the box to have it appear on the Declarations page.
- In the What can be tagged? column, select the Line items you want to tag or untag.
- Select Done. If you select Cancel, your changes won’t be saved.
Edit Custom System Tags
- In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
- In theSettingsmenu, underSystem Wide, selectSystem Tags.
- In theCustom System Tagssection, selectEdit Custom Tags.
- In the Custom Tagsdialog box, locate the custom tag you want to edit, and then complete one or more of the following steps:
- In the Name column, edit the tag name.
- In the Required column, select or deselect the box to make it required/not required.
- In the Show on the Dec? column, select the box to have it appear on the Declarations page.
- In the What can be tagged? column, select the Line items you want to tag or untag.
- Select Done. If you select Cancel, your changes won’t be saved.
Remove Custom System Tags
- In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
- In the Settings menu, under System Wide, select System Tags.
- In the Custom System Tags section, select Edit Custom Tags.
- In the Custom Tags dialog box, in the Add Tagcolumn, locate the custom tag you want to remove, and then select the delete icon .
- Select Done. If you select Cancel, your changes won’t be saved.
