The integration of Melissa Data within BriteCore enhances essential quoting and policy workflows by incorporating critical property attributes such as year built, square footage, and construction type. This integration improves efficiency for agents and administrators across the agent Quote Wizard, agent policy endorsement flow, and the admin Policy Builder. To enable this integration, follow the steps below.

Implementing the Integration:
Prerequisites:
Before integrating Melissa with BriteCore, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
- Signed contract with Melissa
- Received authentication credentials from Melissa.
Integration Setup:
- Navigate to Settings > Vendor Integrations in BriteCore.
- Install the Melissa integration:
- Select "Install” for Melissa
- Configure Installation:
- Follow the prompts in the pop-up wizard.
- Select New Authentication
- Enter the provided authentication credentials in the dialog box.
- Define the cache validity period (in days) and configure multi-match rejection settings.
- Map data returned from Melissa’s JSON to the appropriate rating category field dropdown options.
- Specify the rating categories and/or inputs for mapping (field names only, line item names not needed).
- Select Policy Type
- Click on the "Select Policy Type" button.
- Identify the policy types associated with this integration.
- Configure Installation:
- Select "Install” for Melissa
Using the Integration:
- Agent Quote Wizard:
- Navigate to the Risk page and click on the "Melissa Property web API" button.
- Upon successful lookup, a message confirms the update of rating information on the Rating page.
- Verify the mapped attributes are updated on the Rating page.
- Admin Policy screens:
- On the Policy Administration screen, access the Risk page.
- Similarly, click on the "Melissa Property web API" button to initiate the lookup.
- Confirmation message of successful lookup updates the rating information on the Builder page.
- Verify the mapped attributes are updated on the Builder page.
By following these steps, you can effectively integrate and utilize Melissa Data within BriteCore to enhance property attribute inclusion and streamline quoting and policy management workflows.
