Implementing the Integration 

Prerequisites:

Before setting up the CARFAX integration, ensure you have:

• Access to your system's Settings with permissions to manage integrations.
• Valid credentials for accessing CARFAX services.

Integration Setup:

To enable the CARFAX History-Based Value integration, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations Vendor:
   • Access your system’s settings menu and locate the "Integration vendor" section.
   • Find and select the option to install "CARFAX History-Based Value".
2. Enter Credentials:
   • Input the required credentials provided by CARFAX to authenticate your integration.
3. Select desired Valuation method (Use "Retail", "Wholesale", or "Private Party" value, or the average of 3). 
4. Select policy types

Using the Integration:

Once the CARFAX integration is enabled, follow these steps to utilize the integration in your claims processing:

1. Accessing Auto Claims:
   • Navigate to the Claims section of your system.
   • Select an auto claim where the Policy Type under the Information tab indicates "Personal Auto".
2. Managing Vehicles:
   • Within the claim, proceed to the Vehicle tab.
   • Add or edit a vehicle
     1. VIN of the vehicle

NOTE: The valuation will be calculated for the claim’s loss date. 

3. Vehicle Estimated Value:
   • During the vehicle management process within a claim, you will notice a section labeled "Vehicle Estimated Value".
   • This section dynamically pulls and displays valuation information from CARFAX.
   • Select the button to pull the valuation.
