BriteCore has enhanced the templates for custom deliverables (documents) by exposing the retrieve_underwriter function as a supported template function. This enhancement allows clients to dynamically pull underwriter contact information into their templates, making it easier to personalize policy documents, notices, and other communications. This addition supports greater automation and improves clarity for policyholders and agents by providing direct underwriter details within generated documents.
New Age Rating Option Supports Birth Year-Based Calculations (BC-17456)
BriteCore now supports age-based rating using the policyholder’s birth year instead of full birth date. While the rating engine traditionally calculates age based on the effective date and birth date, some clients require age calculations based solely on the effective year and birth year. This enhancement enables that flexibility without exposing personally identifiable information (PII), allowing for alternative rating logic while maintaining data privacy standards.
Improved Handling of Expired Quote Submissions with E-Signature Delays (BC-17257)
BriteCore now detects when a quote is no longer eligible for submission due to timing constraints. In those cases, the quote is reverted to an "Unsubmitted" state, e-signatures are voided, and the workflow is reset to “Not Started,” ensuring clarity and allowing users to reinitiate the process without confusion. Previously, quotes could become stuck in a “Pending e-signature” state if the effective date fell outside the allowed submission window. Some clients configure the system to prevent new business submissions with an effective date even a single day in the past. If a user delays signing, the quote could no longer be submitted automatically—causing workflow inconsistencies.
New Advanced Setting Allows Policies to Start in "Unsubmitted" Status (BC-16767)
BriteCore has introduced a new advanced setting set_default_policy_status_to_unsubmitted_for_new_policies that allows policies to be created in an “Unsubmitted” status when initiated from the UI (as an administrator or underwriter) or through the create_full_quote API.
This enhancement supports workflows where additional actions or approvals are needed before a policy is officially submitted. When the setting is enabled, it provides greater control and flexibility during policy creation, helping underwriters and administrators manage submissions more deliberately.

Billing Schedule Now Accurately Returned in Full Quote API Response (BC-17220)
BriteCore has corrected an issue where the Billing Schedule was not consistently returned in responses from the /api/v2/quotes/retrieve_full_quote endpoint. Previously, the system pulled this information from the policy revision, which could lead to discrepancies. The update ensures the Billing Schedule is now reliably sourced from the Policy Term, providing more accurate and consistent data in quote workflows.
Multi-Client Payment Transfer Tool Now Supports Full Payment Transfers (BC-17328)
BriteCore has resolved an issue affecting the Multi-Client Payment Transfer Tool. Previously, when users attempted to transfer a payment made in error to the correct policy, the system failed to complete the transfer without displaying any error messages. The issue was due to the transfer process being initialized but not fully implemented. With this update, payment transfers are now fully executed, ensuring smoother correction of payment errors across client accounts.
Improved Accuracy of Agency Information in MIB Inspections and Policy Exports (BC-17522)
BriteCore has resolved an issue where MIB inspections and policy export data could reflect outdated agency information. The system previously identified agent and agency contacts based on general role assignments, which led to inaccuracies when an older agency remained associated in the background.
The logic has been updated to ensure agent and agency contacts are only identified based on the agent flag within the policy revision's contact records. This change improves the accuracy of agency data shown in external integrations and exports, such as /api/v2/policies/export_policies.
Releases Page Link Updated for Client Sites (BC-17640)
BriteCore has corrected an issue where the Releases page link on client sites was directing users to a non-existent page, resulting in an error message. This affected multiple clients and prevented access to important release information. The link has now been updated to point to the correct location, restoring access to release details directly from the client site navigation.
