Multi-factor authentication (MFA) increases security by requiring two forms of authentication during login—a special code and unique username/password.
With BriteAuth, you can set up MFA in two ways:
- Set up MFA using a text message
- Set up MFA using an authenticator app
- At the top-right of the screen, select your profile icon.
- Select My Account.
- In the My Account sidebar, select Security.
- Select Set up Multi-factor Authentication.
- Select Text Message (SMS).
- Select Next.
- Under Enter phone number, type your phone number.
- Select Next.
- Under Validate phone dialog box, type the code you received via text message.
- Select Validate.
- Select Activate.
Important: Opting out of receiving SMS messages from Amazon AWS prevents multi-factor authentication from working. Users need to opt in for it to work properly.
