You can grant agents and agencies permission to access the Contacts module. However, by default, users with the agent or agency role don’t have access. To grant permission, see Permissions. Agents and agencies have access to agent-related and/or agency-related contacts during the quoting process, depending on settings. While creating a quote, BriteCore supports the specific cases regarding an agent’s or agency’s access to contacts.
Agency access to all agency-related contacts
Navigate to Settings > Advanced, and then search policy-go-to. Set policy-go-to to agency. This setting will trigger BriteCore to attach agencies to quotes and policies. When agencies are attached to quotes and policies and a user logs in as an agency, all contacts associated with the agency will be auto-suggested during quoting.
Agent access to all agent-related contacts
Navigate to Settings > Advanced, and then search policy-go-to. Set policy-go-to to agent. This setting will trigger BriteCore to attach agents to quotes and policies. When agents are attached to quotes and policies and a user logs in as an agent, all contacts associated with the agent will be auto-suggested during quoting.
Agent access to all agency-related contacts
Navigate to Settings > Advanced, and then search for two settings. Search for policy-go-to and set it to agency. Search for allow-agents-to-view-agency-contacts, and then set it to True. These settings will trigger BriteCore to attach agencies to quotes and policies and will allow agents to view agency contacts. When agencies are attached to quotes and policies and a user logs in as an agent, all contacts associated with the agent’s agency will be auto-suggested during quoting.
Usage considerations
If agencies are attached to policies and quotes and the allow-agents-to-view-agency-contacts is set to False, then when a user logs in as an agent, all contacts only associated with the agent will be auto-suggested during quoting.
