The risk address is the property covered by the policy. The risk address must be the physical address of the property, a P.O. box can't be added as the risk address. The risk address will typically be added during quoting, and an insured will get a new policy if the risk address changes. You can customize the name of a property when endorsing a policy.
Important: Changing the risk address on an open revision in BriteCore is primarily used for testing BriteCore functionality.
Edit the name of the property
- Select Policies.
- On the Policies List screen, select a policy number to open a policy.
- If the policy doesn’t have an open revision, create a new revision.
- Select Property.
- Below the property name, select Edit.
- In the box, type the custom property name.
- Select outside of the box to deselect the box and save your change.
- Commit the revision.
Change the risk address
Note: If you change the risk address on an existing policy, you will need to rate the revision.
- Select Policies.
- On the Policies List screen, select a policy number to open a policy.
- If the policy doesn’t have an open revision, create a new revision.
- Select Property.
- In the Risk Address subsection, complete one of the following:
- Select Copy From Named Insured.
- Add a risk address manually:
- In the Address boxes, type the street address.
- In the Zip box, type the ZIP code. Adding the ZIP code will automatically update the Country, City, and County dropdown lists.
