As a carrier administrator, whether designated as an underwriter or a policy processor, you possess the capability to duplicate quotes, applications or policies in various states—unsubmitted, submitted, or even active, pending cancellation, and cancel status. This duplication process extends to policy revisions, regardless of their current status, whether uncommitted or committed. Notably, when a policy undergoes multiple revisions, the copy quote tool ensures replication of the latest revision. During duplication, a comprehensive array of details is seamlessly transferred:
- Term length
- Policy status mirroring the original
- Named insured particulars
- Additional interests
- Agency/agent information
- Commission data
- Risk address
- Mortgagee details including loan specifics
- Uploaded photos/attachments
- Vendor-reported and insured-disclosed loss history
- Rating specifics
- Coverages
- Vendor returned details such as replacement cost value from e2value
- Billing particulars encompassing payment method, payor, pay plan, and the distinction of the first bill being paid separately.
Note: The inception date of the duplicated policy will always be set after today, preventing any instances of past dates.
To duplicate a quote within the BriteCore policy administration toolbar, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the BriteCore policy once logged in as an administrator.
Step 2: Navigate to the policy you wish to duplicate.
Step 3: Locate the "Copy Quote" option in the taskbar and select it.
Step 4: A pop-up box will appear prompting you to enter an inception date for the duplicated quote. Input the desired inception date and click "Done".
Step 5: You will be automatically redirected to the newly duplicated quote.
Step 6: Within the details of the new quote, under the Policy ID section, you'll find a reference to the original quote along with a link leading back to it.
By following these steps, you can efficiently duplicate a quote while ensuring that all the user inputs match those of the original quote.
