Configuring Property Group Naming Format
The property-group-name-format
optional setting customizes the naming format for properties when the enable-property-grouping
setting is turned on. This allows for tailored property names in the form of "Location X Building Y" or a custom format, such as "Property X Building Y," as specified by the client.
Setting Overview
- When
property-group-name-format
is ON: Property names follow the format Location X Building Y. - When
property-group-name-format
is OFF: Property names default to the simpler format Location X.
Customizing the Naming Format
The property-group-name-format
setting provides flexibility to adjust the format of property names in the following way:
- Optional Custom Format: Change the naming prefixes (e.g., "Location" or "Building") to other terms like "Property," while keeping the numbers dynamic. For instance, "Property X Building Y" can be used where X and Y represent automatically incremented numbers.
- Prefix Restrictions: Only the prefixes (such as "Location" or "Building") can be customized; the
{property_group_number}
and{building_number}
variables must remain unchanged to maintain the numbering sequence.
How to Configure
- Enable
enable-property-grouping
: Ensure this setting is activated to allow property grouping. - Set
property-group-name-format
: Go to Settings and choose your preferred format. By default, the format is Location X Building Y, with X and Y representing sequential numbering for each property group and building.
This configuration provides agents and underwriters with a clear and consistent naming convention for properties, aligned with organizational requirements.
