The show-underwriters-column advanced setting in BriteCore enhances policy management by displaying assigned underwriters in the policies list and providing a filter to sort policies by underwriters. This helps distribute work among underwriters within a carrier and facilitates better tracking and management of underwriting responsibilities.

How the Underwriter Assignment Works

1. Assigning Underwriters to Policies:

   • Underwriters can be assigned to policies using the show-underwriting-contact-section setting, which enables the option to assign an underwriter through the policy admin view on the Information tab in the Contact section.
   • Once an underwriter is assigned to a policy, this information is saved and linked to the specific policy.

2. Display of Assigned Underwriter in Policies List:

   • The show-underwriters-column setting enables the Assigned Underwriter column to appear in the policies list, allowing users to easily see which underwriter is associated with each policy.

3. Filter Policies by Underwriter:

   • The setting also enables a filter box to appear in the policies list, allowing users to filter policies based on the assigned underwriter. This provides a quick way to view policies handled by specific underwriters, streamlining workload management and reporting.
