Why
BriteCore’s stronger contact permissions and role-based editing:

What
1. Stricter Read-Only Permissions
- When a user has read-only access to contacts, all fields are now locked.
- The Contact screen will display information, but nothing can be edited.
2. Role-Based Contact Management
- A new Claim Administrator role has been introduced.
- Claim Administrators can add and manage only claim-related contacts.
- They cannot view or change roles unrelated to claims (for example, Underwriting).
3. Simplified User Invitations
- Claim Administrators can now invite new users directly from BriteCore.
- No need to leave the platform or switch tools during onboarding.
4. Filtered Roles and Contacts
- When adding new contacts, users only see the roles they are allowed to assign.
- The contacts list is filtered to display only the contacts relevant to their permissions.
How to Configure
- Create an Administrator Role (Ex. Claim Administrator Role)
- Set Permission Levels within the newly created role:
- Read-Only: User can view contacts but cannot make changes.
- Read/Write: User can manage contacts within their assigned role.
- New needed permissions added (see table below).
In the Contacts module, select an individual, and then assign the role created above to staff who should manage the specific contacts.
Example: Claims administrator manages only claim-specific roles.

How to Use
Administrators: Assign the newly created Administrator role only to team members who need it.
Recommendation: Periodically review user roles and permissions to ensure compliance.
Restricted Administrators:
- Validate access to review/update roles within the contacts module based on permissions.
- Confirm that access to inviting users through BriteAuth is accessible based on permissions.
