Task Types: Categorize repetitive work
Task Types is a BriteCore configurable list of tasks used in your insurance processing workflows. These definitions help standardize task creation, reduce manual entry, and ensure consistency.
Task Workflows: Customize automatic tasks
BriteCore supports the creation of a task automatically every time a new claim is assigned to a claims adjuster. This helps reduce manual tasks and increase productivity. At this time, this feature is only available for Claims. Please reach out to the BriteCore team to enable this feature.
Capture Organization Hierarchy
BriteCore supports a hierarchical user group structure that models your organization's internal reporting relationships. This structure not only helps define visibility rules and task ownership but also plays a central role in ensuring tasks are appropriately routed and managed.
How It Works
Each user is assigned to a user group, and these user groups can report to other user groups, forming a tree-like hierarchy. This relationship is maintained within BriteCore and leveraged in multiple areas, including task visibility and assignment.
Example Hierarchy:
- Group A (Executive Team)
- Group B (Claims Department)
- Group C (Field Adjusters)
- Group B (Claims Department)
In this example:
- Users in Group A can see tasks owned by Group B and Group C.
- Users in Group B can see tasks owned by Group C, but not Group A.
- Group C users can see only tasks owned by themselves or their peers in Group C.
Setting Up the Hierarchy
Administrators can define the organizational hierarchy by:
- Navigate to the Contacts > User Groups section.
- Using the ‘Reports To’ field in a user group to help create the organization hierarchy.
- Ensuring each user is linked to the appropriate user group.
Tip: Keep your hierarchy updated to reflect organizational changes. Task visibility and assignment depend on this structure.
