The LexisNexis Auto Data Prefill (ADP) integration allows carriers to retrieve driver, vehicle, and policy information based on minimal information collected from the insurance applicant at the point of contact.
Functionality
Based on the information input into ADP, LexisNexis returns related driver, vehicle, and policy information. Then, the applicant validates the data, which can be used for quoting and underwriting.
Benefits
- Saves users time during application intake.
- Improves accuracy in the initial quote.
- Identifies potential underwriting risk prior to policy submission.
- Makes risk assessment much easier and more accurate.
- Increases data management efficiency.
Considerations
To order reports, you must contribute to the LexisNexis Current Carrier database.
Note: BriteCore doesn't support all of LexisNexis Auto Data Prefill's (ADP) data points in this integration. BriteCore retrieves the Household Drivers, Vehicles, and Prior Carrier data. For each returned driver, BriteCore now also captures Marital Status (Married, Single, Widowed, or Unknown) and Length of Driving Experience, which are stored on the driver and available for quoting and rating.

LexisNexis ADP Functionality Overview
This section provides an overview of how LexisNexis ADP works in BriteCore's quoting module.
Contact screen (request data)
The Auto Data Prefill button is located on the Contacts page of the quote flow. The required fields include:
- Policyholder's full name.
- Current address.
Note: This integration doesn't run automatically. The agent must initiate the Loss History request by selecting the continue button. A pop-up window will appear listing the drivers, vehicles and current carrier data.
Drivers and Vehicle screens (response data)
If data is returned from LexisNexis, associated drivers and vehicles will be added to the respective Drivers and Vehicles screens. When available, each driver also includes their Marital Status and Length of Driving Experience. These details are saved automatically with no additional setup, and are available for quoting and rating.
The specific details that may be returned include:
Driver details: full name (including middle name), date of birth, gender, driver's license number and state, marital status, and length of driving experience. (A driver identifier such as a Social Security number may also be returned where provided by LexisNexis.)
Vehicle details: make, model, and year, along with rating-relevant attributes such as vehicle class, body type, cost when new, horsepower, performance rating, anti-lock brakes, anti-theft device and device type, and collision and comprehensive symbols.
Note: The exact fields returned depend on what LexisNexis has on file for the applicant, so some details may be blank for a given driver or vehicle. In addition, some fields depend on the signed LexisNexis contract.
Error handling
BriteCore displays error messages directly from LexisNexis, such as:
- Missing mandatory fields for report ordering.
- Connection errors.
- Configuration errors.
- No records found for the applicant.
