Admin alerts
Purpose
With the override-admin-email advanced setting in the admin-alerts section, administrators can choose who receives an email alert when there is new business activity, such as:
- New applications are submitted from New Quote
- Policy changes are submitted from Policies
- Attachments or photos are added to a submitted application
Requirements
This setting requires a True/False toggle button.
Setting default
This setting's default value is False, so BriteCore doesn't send an email alert or create a note when new business activity occurs. To verify that BriteCore didn't create a note, complete the following steps:
- In the Policies module, navigate to the Notes tab.
- In the All Notes section, verify BriteCore didn't create any of the following new business notes: Email Sent - Submitted Application, Email Sent - Submitted Change, or Email Sent - Application Attachments/Photos.
Change the default
Changing the override-admin-email setting to True tells BriteCore to send email alerts (below) to the designated recipients and create notes in the Policies module when new business activity occurs. Submitted Application - [Date] - [Primary named insured] Email
This application has just been submitted unbound/bound.
View Policy [policy #]
Submitted by Agent [agent name] - [agent email]
Submitted Change - [Date] - [Primary named insured] Email
This change has just been submitted.
View Policy [policy #]
Submitted by Agent [agent name] - [agent email]
Application Attachments/Photos for [date] Email
Attachments/Photos have been added to application [application number].
If you're not an email notification recipient, complete the following steps to verify BriteCore sent a notification email when there is new business activity:
- In the Policies module, navigate to the Notes tab.
- In the All Notes section, verify BriteCore created one of the following new business notes: Email Sent - Submitted Application, Email Sent - Submitted Change, or Email Sent - Application Attachments/Photos.
Adoption considerations
The override-admin-email advanced setting is the same as the "Direct Application Activity To" setting in contacts overrides admin email list administrative alert on the Administrative Alerts screen (Settings > System Wide > Administrative Alerts). If you change one setting, BriteCore updates the other setting to match. Both settings override emails added to the following Administrative Alert settings:
- Application submitted from BriteQuote
- Application submitted from BriteQuote (Bound)
- Application submitted from BriteQuote (Unbound)
- Policy Change submitted from BriteQuote
- Attachment(s) or Photo(s) Uploaded to Submitted Application
Additionally, you must enable the Direct Application Activity to Specified Email Addresses setting in the Role section of Agent and Agency contacts in the Contacts module in order for the override-admin-email advanced setting to take effect.
