When working with risks, users have a few options in the Lines module:
- The number of risks on a policy.
- The numbering of risks.
- The naming conventions of risks.
Set the number of risks allowed on a policy
For each policy type, you can set the number of risks allowed on a policy.
To set the number of risks allowed on a policy:
- In the BriteCore menu, select Lines.
- On the Effective Dates screen, select the applicable effective date.
- On the Policy Types screen, complete the following steps:
- In the Select State or Province dropdown, select a state or province.
- Navigate to the applicable Policy Type, and then select Edit.
- On the Details screen, navigate to the Allow Multiple Properties for this policy type setting, and then complete one of the following steps:
- If you want only one risk per policy, ensure the setting isn’t selected.
- If you want more than one risk per policy, select the setting; then, in the Maximum risk count box, type the maximum number of risks each policy can have.
Risk numbering and naming
Users can use the complex_risk_naming setting, which automates risk naming, to create a naming convention for adding risks to a policy. Example: For property insurance, the risks are properties. Using the complex_risk_naming setting, users can add one auto-incrementing count to the naming convention, which can be useful for policies with multiple risks.
To use the complex_risk_naming setting:
- Log in as an Administrator.
- In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
- On the Settings screen, select Advanced.
- On the Advanced Settings screen, in the Search for a Setting box, type complex_risk_naming.
- In the complex_risk_naming box, in the Setting Value box, type the name of the risk.
Example: Location {}, Building 1
