IVANS setup

IVANS Download automates the information exchange between BriteCore, the insurer’s policy administration system, and the insurer's agency management system.

Set up IVANS

There are several steps to set up IVANS:

• Get started with IVANS.
• Grant IVANS Administrator permissions.
• Review line items and export the code (IVANS only).
• Set up IVANS in BriteCore.

Get started with IVANS

To get started with IVANS:

1. Contact IVANS.
2. Complete the required paperwork.
3. Obtain the following information from IVANS:
   1. Username
   2. Password

Grant IVANS Administrator permissions

To give IVANS Administrator permissions:

1. In the BriteCore menu, select Contacts.
2. On the Contacts List screen, select New Individual.
3. On the Information screen, under Name, select Edit, and then type the name of the applicable IVANS personnel.
4. In the Role section, select Add a Role.
5. In the Role dialog box, in the dropdown list, select Administrator, and then select Done.
6. Complete the Login Information section.

Note: IVANS needs to complete the Review line items and export the code steps.

Review line items and export the code (IVANS only)

Note: IVANS needs login credentials for client.britecorepro.com to complete the following steps.

To review line items and export the code:

1. In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
2. In the Settings menu, select System Wide, and then select System Tags.
3. On the System Tags screen, in the Select a Tag dropdown list, select NxTech AL3 Codes. You can also type your selection to find tags faster.
4. In the Select an Effective Date dropdown list, select the applicable effective date.
5. Select Lines, review the applicable line items, and then, for each line item, export the tag code located in the box on the right.
   • Example: The Mobile Homeowners coverage Animal Collision has a tag code LVSTK.
6. In the BriteCore menu, select Policies.
7. On the Policy Search screen, navigate to and select the applicable policy.
8. On the Information screen, select the Generate XML icon .

   Note: It usually takes about 6-9 months to pass the certification process.

9. When you're prepared, contact BriteCore.

Set up IVANS in BriteCore

After IVANS notifies BriteCore, the IVANS integration needs to be set up in BriteCore. To set up IVANS in BriteCore:

1. In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
2. In the Settings menu, select Vendors.
3. On the Vendors screen, in the Download Solutions section, select one of the following integrations:
   1. NxTech Claims
   2. NxTech DBCS
   3. NxTech Download
   4. NxTech eDocs
4. Next to the integration you selected, select the edit icon.
5. In the dialog box, add the appropriate information, and then select Done.
