Copy policy types using Support Tools

When setting up a new instance of BriteCore, you can expedite the process by using the Copy Policy Types feature to copy line items from one effective date and state to another effective date, state, and policy type. This saves you time when configuring your insurance products.

To copy policy type:

1. Depending on your UI configuration, you can navigate to Support Tools in one of the following ways:
   1. Navigate to the footer of any BriteCore module screen and select Support Tools.
   2. Navigate to and select the user profile icon in the top-right of the screen.
      1. Select Resources at the bottom of the dropdown list.
      2. Select Support Tools.
2. Navigate to the Lines section, and then select Copy Policy Types.
3. On the Copy Policy Types screen, complete the following steps:
   1. In the From Effective Date dropdown list, select the effective date of the line of business you want to copy policy types from.
   2. In the From State dropdown list, select the state you want to copy policy types from.
   3. In the To Effective Date dropdown list, select the effective date of the line of business you want to copy policy types to. 
   4. In the To State dropdown list, select the state you want to policy types items to.
   5. In the Policy Type dropdown list, select the policy types you want to copy line items from.
   6. Select Copy.
   7. A pop-window displays and asks Are you sure you want to copy everything? and provides a summary of your selections. Select Yes, Copy.

Note:  Location codes will need to be manually updated for the copied policy type. 

A confirmation message displays stating: Success! The policy type was copied.
