Delete Persistent Builder mapping using Support Tools

When you create a new effective date, you may introduce changes incompatible with your older Lines versions, such as altered category options, different names, etc. This can cause your policies to fail to renew. With Create Persistent Builder Mapping, you can explicitly map the changes in the system. This saves you time when configuring your insurance products.

However, you may want to delete a mapping you created so Persistent Builder won't automatically convert items between revisions. To delete a mapping, use the Delete Persistent Builder Mapping tool in Support Tools.

To delete a Persistent Builder mapping:

1. Depending on your UI configuration, you can navigate to Support Tools in one of the following ways:
   1. Navigate to the footer of any BriteCore module screen and select Support Tools.
   2. Navigate to and select the user profile icon in the top-right of the screen.
      1. Select Resources at the bottom of the dropdown list.
      2. Select Support Tools.
2. Navigate to the Lines section, and then select Delete Persistent Builder Mapping.
3. On the Delete Persistent Builder Mapping screen, complete the following steps:
   1. Select a mapping type from the Mapping Type dropdown list. The options are:
      1. Category: Use when a category changes names enough that Persistent Builder won't catch it. Also, use when a category is dropped.
         Example: Restriction is now None.
      2. Category Option: Use when a coverage option changes.
         Example: 1 Family and 2 Family become 1–2 Family.
      3. Coverage: Use when coverage changes names enough that Persistent Builder won't catch it.
         Example: Total Premium Credit is now Premium Range Credit.
      4. Policy Type: Use to map policy type changes
         Example: Homeowner's - Form 2 becomes Homeowners.
      5. Sub Line: Use to map SubLine changes. Also, use to map PolicyType to SubLine changes.
         Example: Homeowner's - Form 2 becomes a subline under Homeowners.
      6. Supplemental Question: Use when a supplemental question changes its name.
         Example: Describe location becomes Address/Legal Description of Location.
      7. Deductible Removed: Use when a deductible rate object is dropped from an item's rate chain. Use the old item's name and None as the new object's name.
   2. Type the old name in the From Name box.
   3. Type the new name in the To Name box.
   1. Select Delete.
   2. A dialog will display that asks Are you sure you want to Delete this mapping? and provides a summary of your mapping. Select Yes, Delete.

Britecore displays a confirmation message when the mapping has been deleted.
