What should I do if the Web Connector won’t connect to QuickBooks?
If you’re using a shared QuickBooks program located on a central server that multiple users can access, the QuickBooks program must be running and pointed to the appropriate company file for the Web Connector to find it. To bypass this requirement, add a Company File Path.
To add a Company File Path:
- In the BriteCore menu, select Settings.
- In the Settings menu, select Vendors.
- On the Vendors screen, under Accounting, navigate to and select QuickBooks.
- n BriteCore, on the Vendors screen, next to Quickbooks, select the edit icon .
- In the Quickbooks dialog box, in the Company File Path box, type your company’s file path.
Note: If you don’t know your company’s file path, you can learn how to locate and add the Quickbooks Company File Path.
Upon installing the Web Connector, ensure:
- You’re logged in to QuickBooks as the Administrator.
- QuickBooks is in Single User Mode.
Note: Once the Web Connector is installed, you can set QuickBooks back to Multi-User Mode if applicable.
What should I do if QuickBooks doesn’t recognize the Checking Account / Expense Account name?
There is an option in QuickBooks that prepends account numbers to account names, so type only the checking account name.
Example: If your account name is Bank of America and your account number is 1005, then Quickbooks adds the account number to the account name:1005 ∙ Bank Of America Checking.
Note: Type only the account name; don’t include the account number or the dot when typing your checking account name in BriteCore.
What should I do if only some of the return premiums export after running the Web Connector?
