Introduction:
The Betterview property service seamlessly provides enhanced property insights for underwriters. Administrators can conveniently order the inspection report directly from the property tab by selecting "Get Betterview Property Insight." Upon confirming, administrators can instantly access the Betterview report both from a pop-up window and in the policy attachment. To enable this feature, administrators can configure Betterview inspection settings via the vendor integration settings page, where they can input the required Client ID and Secret Key to establish a connection with the Betterview API.
How to Use the Integration:
Manual Process:
Once the integration is enabled, carrier employees (underwriters) and BriteCore administrators will see a button under the properties tab of the policy administration view. In the Inspection Request section of that page, a button labeled “Get Betterview Property Insight'' will appear. Clicking this button triggers a dialog box confirming the order for a Betterview Property Insight report. Upon confirmation and the retrieval of the report, the same dialog box will display a link to the Betterview report, where users can be redirected to the Betterview’s report for detailed insights. Additionally, the report can be found under the Policy Attachments screen. Users can click the link or choose to "update inspection date" to proceed with the policy review.
Automated Process:
BriteCore can perform a nightly scan of all policies that have not received a Betterview inspection or if a property was the subject of a claim within a certain number of days. It can also detect new policies where the properties were not inspected based on advanced and configurable rating criteria.
These scans produce a list of addresses that match the criteria above which is emailed to the recipient of the Integration notifications advanced setting. For each matching property, BriteCore will order an inspection Betterview report
Note: The Integration notification recipient will receive a daily email detailing the scan results.
Configuration Steps:
To configure the Betterview integration, navigate to Settings > Vendor Integrations.
Note: If the Vendor Integration option is not visible in your settings menu, please submit a Zendesk ticket, and BriteCore will ensure the Carrier Administrators will be granted access promptly.
The vendor requires a Client ID and Secret Key to connect to their API. Ensure these credentials are correctly inputted to establish the connection. In addition follow the wizard to setup:
- Identify the authentication name, client ID and client secret key provided by Betterview once your contract is signed.
- Identify the name of the folder the report should be uploaded into.

Configure the daily scan options:

For Renewals:
- Inspections are triggered if the location had a claim against it within the last "Y" number of days or if the last inspection date exceeds "X" number of days.

For New Business:
- Inspections can be automatically initiated based on rating information identified by the carrier. For example, if the last inspection date is empty and the year built is older than 5 years.

For Renewals:
After completing each step of the Betterview setup wizard, the integration will become accessible for use in the administration view of the policy.
