The Parties tab is the second screen accessible within a claim and is used to manage all individuals and organizations involved in the loss.
Access the Parties Screen
To access the Parties screen:
- In the Claims List, select a claim to open it.
- In the claim’s navigation menu, select Parties.
- On the Parties screen, review, add, and edit contacts relevant to the claim.
Import Contacts Automatically
Contacts associated with the policy, such as the Named Insured and Agent, will automatically populate in the Parties tab when the claim is created.
Note: The Claims Adjuster and Claims Supervisor must be added or changed in the Information tab under the Claims Assignment section.
Add a New Party
To add a new contact to the claim:
- Select + Add Party.
- Select the Party Role (e.g., Claimant, Defense Attorney, Witness).
- Select one of the following options:
- Search for Existing Contact – Select an existing contact already stored in the system.
- Add as New Contact as Party – Enter new contact details.

Basic, additional, and carrier involvement information can be entered when adding a new contact.

- Full Name
- Birthdate
- Social Security Number
- Add an Address
- Add a Phone Number
- Add an Email Address
Additional Information
- Date of Death
- Rideshare Driver? (Yes/No)
- Health Insurance Claim Number (HICN)
- Occupation
- Organization
- Driver’s License Number
- Driver’s License State

Note: When adding a Claimant, two additional fields will be available: Representation Start Date and Represented By Date, allowing you to flag and track legal representation related to the party.
View and Edit Party Details
Once a party is added, select the caret (▸) next to the contact name to expand their details to display the contact’s:
- Preferred mailing address
- Email address
- Phone number
When editing, you can use the radio buttons to update the preferred method of contact. Any updates made to the contact’s information will automatically sync with the Contacts module, ensuring consistency across the system.
