Beta Note: Lines Copilot is currently in beta and is being rolled out to clients in stages. If you do not see the AI Copilot panel in Lines configuration, contact your BriteCore account team.
The Lines Copilot automates line configuration by converting rating manuals into BriteCore-ready configurations and enables rate changes using plain-language instructions. It analyzes a rating manual, extracts the complete line structure, and automatically configures categories, coverages, limits, deductibles, and rate chains. You can then ask questions about the configuration or make changes conversationally, without navigating complex configuration screens.
The Copilot can do three main things:
- Generate a product in BriteCore from a rating manual.
- Summarize a product, for example “Show the first 10 rows of the Driver Factors table.”
- Change rates in plain language, for example “Increase the rates for married 45-50 by 5%.”
Best practice: Perform this work in a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment first and promote it to production once validated.
Configuration Scope
When it builds a product from a manual, the Lines Copilot handles the full line configuration, not just the outline:
- Line structure. The line hierarchy, line-item names and classifications, and which items are required or optional, including dependencies between them. The policy type and items are created in BriteCore.
- Categories, limits, and deductibles. Extracted from the manual and configured on the product.
- Rate chains. Rate tables and their relationships and dependencies are identified, configured, and validated against a rating engine.
- Sublines and items. The Copilot supports sublines and can add or remove items and sublines as the structure evolves.
Copilot Panel
- Open Lines configuration and select the line or product you want to work on, or start a new one.
- Work in your UAT environment first.
- Open the AI Copilot panel.
Type a request in the panel, or select one of the suggested quick actions to get started.
Change Records
Every configuration change the Copilot makes is attributed to you, the signed-in user, and is recorded in the Notes for the affected line or policy type with an indication that it was made through the Copilot. This gives you the same change history and audit trail as changes made by hand.
