If you want to edit an existing Policy Type or set up a new type, you can access the Policy Type settings in the Lines module.
To access Policy Type settings:
- In the BriteCore menu, select Lines.
- On the Effective Dates screen, select the effective date you want to use.
- On the Policy Types screen, select the Select State or Province dropdown list, and then select a state or province.
- In the Policy Types list, complete one of the following steps:
- Navigate to the line you want to add a Policy Type to, and then select the Add Policy Type plus icon.
- Navigate to the Policy Type you want to edit, and then, to the left of the Policy Type, select the edit pencil icon.
- On the Details screen, use the Policy Type settings table below to complete the Policy Type section.

The Policy Type settings table lists all of the settings and includes descriptions, use cases, and examples.

When this threshold is reached, a policy of this policy type cannot be written without administrative approval | Users will see a pop-up window with the defined threshold and a prompt for an approval code. When a limit threshold of $5,000,000 is reached during a quote, the text you typed in the box appears in a pop-up window on the screen.
